Postdoctoral Research Fellow, Centre for Audio, Acoustics and Vibration, UTS
For acoustic and vibration consultancy, please email me at can.nerse [at] uts [dot] edu [dot] au.
My research uses novel data and computational algorithms to develop bioinspired materials and structures. My focus is on discovering the evolutionary and stigmergic tendencies in structures built by eusocial insects, such as honey bees, by looking at vibro-acoustic signals and material modelling. I am actively involved with industrial projects involving noise and vibration mitigation and wavefront engineering.
Prior to UTS, I was a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology in South Korea, where I also obtained my PhD in Mechanical Engineering (advisor: Semyung Wang).
